Jasmin Fowler-Puja (she/her)

Jasmin is a NASM-certified personal trainer who specialises in training beginners to get stronger, incorporate fitness into a more holistic, healthy lifestyle, and gain more confidence both in and outside the gym. Jasmin is based in NYC, and apart from working out in the gym, she enjoys dancing, making art, reading, and experimenting with new recipes. Her philosophy with fitness and nutrition is that they should both be a part of a holistic lifestyle that complements your passions, hobbies, hopes, and dreams.

Live Virtual Training

Virtual training is for everyone from true beginners to seasoned vets. As a beginner, it is essential that I can see your form, tempo, intensity, breathe, etc. to make sure that you’re getting the most out of your efforts, and that you’re doing so in a safe way to prevent injury. Virtual sessions last one hour, and are conducted through the video platform that is most convenient for both of us (Facetime, Facebook video, etc.).

Program-Only

The Program-Only option is recommended for those who have gone through at least three months of live virtual or in-person training. With the Program-only option, you get all of your workouts sent via Google Sheets or a similar platform. Each workout progresses week-to-week, and includes an example video for each exercise. We’ll have weekly check-ins via email, and I’ll be critiquing your form etc. as needed via recorded videos you send me.

In-Person Training

In-Person Training is for those who live in NYC (or anyone who’s willing to come to NYC). My gym is located in the Upper West Side. With in-person training, you’ll be able to train in my gym for the duration of the 1-hour session. Much like virtual training, in-person training is for everyone from true beginners to experienced lifters.

 

How does training work?

Whether you’re doing virtual sessions, in-person sessions, or program-only, I design programs based on your experience, goals, current lifestyle, and exercise preference. No two people are the same, so no two programs should be the same either! I design your program only after performing a full assessment of your movement patters and goals so that every exercise and every workout moves you in the right direction (no pun intended). During our initial consultation we’ll determine how many times a week you’ll train, what you need to focus on in your first few months, and what our expectations will be. Throughout the time we work together, I’ll be there every day to answer questions via text and/or email. Have a question about a specific exercise? Ask away. Need to take a week off for an impromptu vacation? I’ll work that into your program. Want a hotel-friendly workout for said vacation? I’ll write one up for you. I am passionate about helping my clients feel their best and strongest, and that means building programs around your body, your lifestyle, and your strengths and weaknesses. So how does it work? Step 1) schedule your consultation; Step 2) we talk about what plan will work best for you and I design your program; Step 3) you implement this program and start getting results! There should be no holding back when it comes to your health and fitness, and I want to make sure you come into your fitness journey knowing that your health and happiness is my top priority.

Why online training?

Online training is all about convenience and flexibility. Because everything is online, you can train anywhere and anytime. You’ll have the ability to access your workouts whenever you need to. Whether you’re in your home, at the gym, in a hotel overseas, or out in the wilderness, you’ll be able to access all of the information you need. This includes the actual workouts, demonstration videos and cues for every exercise, and my personal contact information so that you can ask me questions any time. With everything you need online, you’ll stay on track and continue seeing progress as you work through your program, even if you’re overseas, and even if you don’t have time to make that commute to the gym.
